On December 15, 2016 Kirovograd Regional Art Museum opened an exhibition of an Excellent Teacher of Ukraine, a senior lecturer of the Chair of Design of Kirovohrad Institute of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge" Iryna Zantariia “Milestones: Teacher and Pupils”.

Iryna Mykhailivna Zantariia was born in 1955 in Zhovti Vody, a town in Dnipropetrovsk region. From the age of 6 Iryna together with her parents lived on the peninsula Manhyshlak in Shevchenko town of Manhyshlatskyi region of Kazakh SSR. In 1981 she graduated from Sukhumi College of Art (the lecturer Nadar Tsvizhba).

In 1982 she moved to Kirovohrad (current Kropyvnytskyi). And the same very year she got a job at Kirovograd Regional Center for Children and Youth Creativity and read lectures at Kirovohrad Children’s Art School named after Olexander Osmerkin at the same time.

Frm 1990 until 2013 Iryna stood at the head of Folk Fine Arts Studio “Soniashnyk”. In 1996 she got a title “Excellent Teacher of Ukrainian Education”.

From 2000 until today she has been a Senior Lecturer of the Chair of Design of Kirovohrad Institute, a part of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge".

Iryna Zantariia is a talented, creative and loving teacher. During her work at Kirovograd Regional Center for Children and Youth Creativity, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded Folk Fine Arts Studio “Soniashnyk” the title of “Exemplary art collective” for a high level of workmanship, fruitful creative work and active social position in 1994, and the title “Folk Artistic Group” in 1999 (confirmed in 2004 and 2009).

Iryna Zantariia’s pupils are winners of international, national and regional professional competitions, received the Grand Prix at the International Children's Art Festival "Talents of the Third Millennium" hold in Kharkiv (2011), recipients of prizes (first, second and third class certificates) at the All-Ukrainian exhibition-contest of decorative-applied and fine arts “Know and Love your Land”, Kyiv (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012). they took part in the All-Ukrainian contest of fine and decorative art - international tour “Just Stories”, Lviv (2011), the All-Ukrainian contest “Peace and Safety in Ukraine” (2011), the All-Ukrainian festival of children’s and youth’s art dedicated to World Earth Day, Kirovohrad (2011-2013), festival of Christ's city “Upwards the heart” and international contest “I will create the best things for God” cities Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk (2012, 2013), the regional contest “Spring Plein-Air”, Kirovohrad (2011-2013), the regional contest for the best art work, dedicated to holding of UEFA European Championship “Euro 2012” in Ukraine, Kirovohrad (2012), the International contest “Christmas Tale” in Trakai Island Castle, Lithuania (2012), winners of the international exhibition of child creativity Lidice, Czech Republic (2013).

Pupils and students of Iryna were active participants of exhibitions, art contests and art events, that were opened and hold in Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum, namely: the art event “Spring plein-air” (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), the regional contest for the best art work, dedicated to holding of UEFA European Championship “Euro 2012” in Ukraine, the exhibition “Christmas miracle” (2011), the exhibition “Angels with us” (2013), the exhibition of children’s artworks “Through the eyes of a small miracle” (2015), the exhibition of children’s artworks “Creating with Picasso”, dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), (2016).

In 2012 two pupils of Iryna Zantariia opened their solo exhibitions. Alina Dudnik opened her exhibition “Motherland and the World” in the department of Kirovograd Regional Art Museum, Petro Ossovskyi Picture gallery, and Vitalii Krunich -- in Small gallery of the Regional Art Museum, Haidar Kirovohrad Regional Library for Children. In 2014 there was opened a solo exhibition of Sofiia Polyvoda “Wonderworld of Sofia” (Small gallery of the Regional Art Museum, Haidar Kirovohrad Regional Library for Children).

 

Only in 2015 there were opened 5 exhibitions of students’ and lecturers’ artworks of the Department of Design of Kirovohrad College and Kirovohrad Institute of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge":

“The gift to the Mother” dedicated to Mother's Day -- Kirovograd Regional Art Museum, May;

“My Land” dedicated to Ukrainian Independence Day -- Small gallery of the Regional Art Museum, the department of adolescent reading, information and advisory services for the visitors of Shevchenko Kirovohrad Regional Library for Children, August;

“The Sails of Youth” -- Small gallery of the Regional Art Museum, House of Culture "Aviator", December;

“The Language of Batik” -- Znamianka Regional Studies Museum, December;

“With Graphics through Life”, the solo exhibition of a lecturer of the Chair of Design of Kirovohrad Institute of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge" Yuliia Humirova -- Kirovograd Regional Art Museum, March;

In 2016: “The Time of Growth”, the students’ exhibition of the Chair of Design of Kirovohrad Institute of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge" -- Small gallery of the Regional Art Museum, the department of adolescent reading, information and advisory services for the visitors of Shevchenko Kirovohrad Regional Library for Children, June.

From the 1st of October, 2016 in Kirovograd Regional Art Museum there are conducted fine arts workshops of the cycle “The Sunny Brush” under the guidance of Iryna Zantariia.

The artist is an active participant of Kirovograd Regional Art Museum’s art events: the plein-air art event "The Kirovohrad Region through the Eyes of Artists" , the international art event “Long Nights of Museums” (2008 - 2016), the art event “Art "pearls" - for the museum's Christmas tree” (2012), the Open Day on the occasion of Artist Day (2003-2016), etc.

Zantariia works in the field of graphics and easel painting. She created a series of works "Sukhumi Landscapes", "Landscapes of Kirovohrad", "Graphic metamorphoses."

The first solo exhibition of Irina Zantariia "Lyrics of Graphic Motif" was opened exactly in Kirovograd Regional Art Museum on the 15th of July, 2014.

The exhibition "Milestones: Teacher and Pupils" presents more than 150 works of the artist and her pupils.

Fellow teachers, members of the Chair of Design of Kirovohrad Institute of Private Higher Educational Institution "University of Contemporary Knowledge" -- assistant director on educational work Myroslava Verko, Head of the Chair of Design Oleksandr Koptolov and the lecturer Julia Humirova (the last, by the way, is Iryna's pupil) -- came at the grand opening of the exhibition to congratulate their colleague.

 

Special, warm and moving words of gratitude were made by the priest of St. Uspensky Center for Spiritual Enlightenment Sergii Novak and broadcast journalist Liudmyla Mykolaivska, who thanked Irina for active work with special kids and kids from Sunday school.

And, of course, there were traditionally left all the photos of pupils and students with their teacher Iryna Mykhailivna Zantariia.
